Great Outdoors
Thursdays 2:00 - 2:55 pm / Ms. Naomi & Ms. Aila
(Grades 2-5*)
Students explore the natural world through observation, hands-on investigation, and scientific discussion — examining the ecosystems, landforms, and natural processes happening right around us. From weather and the water cycle to soil, plants, and seasonal changes, this class sparks curiosity about the science behind the world outside. With a mix of outdoor exploration and indoor activities, students develop a deeper appreciation for the environment they're a part of.
This class is part of our new Afternoon Explorers series — a flexible, project-based program that groups students by learning style and interests rather than strictly by age, with some lesson differentiation across the range. Other classes in the series include Animals & Zoology and Everyday Engineering (Tuesdays), Art Lab (Thursdays).
*Students in grades 6–8 are welcome to inquire about enrollment, space permitting.
This class is planned to continue through both semesters.
