Art Mixed Media & Maker’s Lab

(Grades 5-8)

This two-part Friday class combines guided art instruction with open creative work time. In the first half, students explore a variety of artistic mediums through hands-on projects that encourage experimentation with texture, color, and design. The second half shifts to Maker's Lab, an open studio format where students can continue their project from that day's lesson or bring their own creative work — whether that's something for a personal project, a small business, or just something they've been wanting to make. Project prompts and guidance are available for students who need a starting point, and all students are expected to come with a plan and make the most of their lab time.

This class is planned to continue through both semesters.
