Art in 3D
Tuesdays 1:00-1:55 pm / Ms. Naomi
(Grades 4-8)
In this creative, hands-on class, students explore how artists use line, shape, value, and perspective to make drawings appear three-dimensional. We’ll experiment with optical illusions, geometric patterns, shading techniques, and other visual tricks that make artwork come alive. Students will also build simple 3D forms using paper engineering, create dioramas, and explore layered or sculptural designs. Projects are designed to stretch spatial thinking, encourage creative problem-solving, and help students see how art can transform from flat to dimensional.
