Wednesdays 1:00-1:55 pm / Ms. Deseree

(Grades K-5)

Where little hands learn to grow big things.

Following the rhythm of the growing season from late summer through early winter, students will work together to tend a living garden space—preparing soil, planting fall crops, harvesting vegetables, and learning how to care for plants as the seasons change. Each week brings practical gardening tasks and natural discoveries, from starting a worm compost bin to planting garlic for the winter. Children will gain real-life experience with planting, growing, and harvesting while developing a deeper appreciation for where food comes from and how nature provides. Whether they're tasting herbs, pulling carrots, or building a wreath from garden trimmings, students will connect with the earth and learn the value of patience, observation, and stewardship.
